Dr. Hasan Kamliya Jawahar
With over a decade of experience in Aerospace Engineering, Dr. Hasan KJ has established himself as an expert in the field. As an R&T Project Leader at Safran Landing Systems, he directs wind tunnel testing and CFD initiatives while spearheading the development of groundbreaking noise reduction technologies for future landing gear systems. Dr. Jawahar's commitment to designing efficient and quiet aircraft is exemplified by his impressive academic background. He obtained an MSc in Thermal Power (Aerospace Propulsion) from the renowned Cranfield University in the UK, along with a first-class degree in Aerospace Systems Engineering BEng (Hons) from Coventry University. During his PhD in Aerodynamics and Aeroacoustics at the University of Bristol, Dr. Jawahar concentrated on devising noise reduction techniques through a combination of numerical and experimental investigations. His research primarily revolved around the application of morphing structures for airfoils and high-lift devices, employing advanced computational methods such as RANS, DES, and LES. As a Research Associate, Dr. Jawahar further expanded his expertise by conducting experimental and computational studies on jet installation effects, propeller noise for distributed electric propulsion, and exploring ground effects on propeller noise. During this time, he successfully designed and installed a state-of-the-art jet noise facility. Dr. Jawahar's proficiencies also encompass higher-order post-processing methods that enhance the understanding of noise generation mechanisms, showcasing his dedication to advancing the aerospace industry.
